The LNK Charity Fund has provided support to the Latvian Wild Bird Assistance Society “Drauga Spārns” – the only organization in Latvia dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured and helpless wild birds.

With the fund’s assistance, the organization was able to purchase specialized food for waterfowl and insectivorous birds, ensuring appropriate nutrition for 185 wild birds, including swans, ducks, cranes, swifts, swallows, and others. This support was especially important during the winter months, when natural food sources are limited.

In addition to food supplies, the fund’s financial contribution helped cover the costs of long-term rehabilitation and medical treatment, including essential medications and veterinary care. Living conditions for the birds were also improved, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for those not yet ready to return to the wild.

The LNK Charity Fund’s support plays an important role in helping these birds recover and return to their natural habitat, furthering the mission of “Drauga Spārns” – to care for Latvia’s wild birds and protect their populations.
The Foundation’s support amounted to EUR 3,300.
