The ITF Wheelchair Tennis Development Camp 2025 took place at the ENRI Tennis Center in Riga – an intensive three-day training camp for children, young people, and adults who use wheelchairs. The goal of the project was to promote the development of wheelchair tennis in Latvia, provide participants with opportunities to improve their athletic skills, and introduce new players to the sport.

The camp brought together 30 athletes from various Latvian cities, including players in both the “Open” and “Quad” classes. Over three days, participants took part in tennis training sessions, physical fitness activities, lectures, and team-building events. The program was led by experienced coaches.

In addition to sports activities, great attention was given to topics such as sports psychology, motivation, healthy lifestyles, and teamwork. The program also included a friendly doubles tournament, a bowling evening, and a seaside walk – giving participants inspiration, joy, and a sense of community.

The event was organized by the Children and Youth Para Sports Association in cooperation with the Latvian Tennis Union, with support from the Latvian Paralympic Committee, the International Tennis Federation, the LNK Charity Fund, and other partners.

This camp demonstrated that sport is accessible to everyone and can provide participants not only with practical skills but also with emotional strength and self-confidence.

Fund support: EUR 3,000.
