With the goal of inspiring future athletes to stay active, seek new development opportunities, and promote the growth of parasports in Daugavpils, support was provided for a masterclass for children and youth with special needs in Daugavpils. The Riga youth parasports team, together with their coaches, hosted an exciting and inspiring event for children and youth from the “Children and Youth Para Sports Association (Youthparasportslv)” in Daugavpils.
During the event, young athletes were introduced to the basics of various parasport disciplines. They tried their hand at swimming, fencing, tennis, table tennis, badminton, archery, basketball, athletics, golf, and boccia. The masterclass was led by experienced parasport athletes who represent Latvia in international competitions. The support from the fund helped inspire children and youth, future athletes, to stay active, continue participating in sports, and explore new opportunities for parasport development in Daugavpils, ensuring regular training sessions.
The fund’s support amounted to 15,000 EUR.
