Charity foundation Charity.lv of Holding Company LNK GROUP will extend the deliveries of lunch sets up to the end of the emergency situation and will provide lunch to the medical staff of the Latvian Centre of Infectious Diseases of the Riga East University Hospital, who continuously work under increased workload conditions.
Taking into account the changes stipulated in the period of emergency situation and in order to help the medical staff working under increased workload conditions, Holding Company LNK Group will continue to provide lunch for the medical staff of the Latvian Centre of Infectious Diseases up to the end of the emergency situation – 12 May 2020.
Since 20 March 2020, the medical staff of the Latvian Centre of Infectious Diseases have received nearly 4000 meals, which is more than 120 warm lunch sets every day. Although initially it was planned that the lunch from company Vairāk Saules will be provided up to 19 April 2020, nearly 3000 lunch sets more will be provided up to the end of the emergency situation, that is, 12 May 2020.
Professor Baiba Rozentāle, the Chief Physician of the Latvian Centre of Infectious Diseases of the Riga East University Hospital, says: “This is the first time in our professional experience that we have received this kind of support. Of course, delicious meal is a crucial source of energy in these difficult times; however, positive attitude and support provided by society is even more encouraging.”

All together the Holding Company LNK Group has provided EUR 50 000 in the social support project to decrease the COVID-19 consequences.
